Treeforce Coordinator Applications
Are you passionate about regenerating rainforest to create habitat and protect rivers and the reef around Cairns?
Do you have the skills to coordinate and lead regeneration and citizen science activities in the Cairns area while working with community volunteers and a supportive committee?
Treeforce Cairns is looking for a paid Coordinator – on a casual basis for up to 10 hours per week.
The successful applicant will collaborate with the Treeforce Committee to facilitate volunteer activities; set up, co-ordinate and ensure the safety of on-site activities; undertake administrative duties; and communicate with our membership and the community.
The responsibilities of the position include:
· Planning and coordinating Treeforce regeneration and citizen science events (often on alternate Sunday mornings)
· Managing & maintaining Treeforce equipment and supplies
· Liaising with the Treeforce Committee, membership, community and project partners
· Maintaining the Treeforce social media sites and event promotion
· Data collection, collation and reporting for funding contracts and committee needs
Position requirements also include:
· Availability to work flexible hours, including on Sunday mornings on fortnightly basis
· Open Drivers Licence
· Solid trade ute / 4WD and ability to tow a trailer (compensation provided at $0.80 per kilometre travelled on Treeforce business).
· Hold or ability to obtain Blue Card (working with children) QLD registration
