30 keen volunteers turned up for this one on a peaceful early morning and proceeded to deep plant 478 trees (400 from Cairns Regional Council and Joel brought 78 that he grew from seed himself).
Since this was a new far eastern section of Radjirr-radjirr that we had not been to before, we took the time to explore this new part of the Freshwater Creek and collect some rubbish that had been deposited since the March floods, before enjoying morning tea at 9.30am.
Directions: From Cairns, turn left at the lights opposite Coles at Redlynch Shopping centre (Portelli Rd). Veer left and park in the school car park. Follow the power lines across the oval and in to site.
