The first 2017 Treeforce tree planting is planned for Sunday, February 26.
In partnership with a Small World Journeys group of 30 Chinese students aged between 11 & 14 and 5 teachers, we will plant 400 trees at Radjirr-radjirr island (previously known as the Big Island site) on Freshwater Creek.
Treeforce volunteers are being asked to arrive at 8.30am to help place the trees and fertiliser in readiness for the student’s arrival at 9.15am, then assist them to plant the trees well to ensure future growth.
Morning tea will be supplied about 10.30am.
Directions: On the Redlynch Connection Rd turn left at the second set of lights (opposite Woolworths at Redlynch Central Shopping Centre). Park at the school carpark, walk across the fields and follow the signs into the site.
The site is a bit remote so phone 0435 016 906 if you get lost.
